Asus confirms which of its motherboards will get Intel 9th Gen support

Despite Intel not having officially announced the Core 9000 Series, Asus has come out of the woodwork to reveal which of its motherboards will work with CPUs you can’t even buy yet.

BIOS updates for a number of mostly gaming-centric boards, like the Prime Z370-A (pictured) are available to download now, so if you’ve got (or you’re planning to get) one of the following for your gaming rig, you can have everything ready for whenever it is you’re able to hand over the cash for your new 9th Gen processor.

Intel is due to officially launch its long-awaited 9th generation of Core CPUs later this year. We know that the company has plans for IFA 2018 – 31st August-5th September – in Berlin and we know that a separate event is planned for later in September, but no solid launch date has been made public yet.

While the cat’s not out of the bag, Intel’s partners are clearly quite happy to talk about the cat, play with it, stroke it and give it treats.

Asus supplied Trusted Reviews with a list of boards which can be updated today, which we’ve reproduced below – if you spot your PC’s board in the list below, head over to Asus’s site here, enter the name and you’ll be taken to the specific page for your board, like so:

We’ve broken the list up into chipset models, names and numbers and put the BIOS version in parentheses.
